Job Description

This role will be located in Austin, TX and report to the VP of Sales. Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are driven inside lead generators covering multiple vertical industry segments and geographies. Our ideal candidates possess strong sales acumen and demonstrate a fearless approach to developing prospect relationships and creating new opportunities. They must also understand technology and how to mine data. Self-motivation and a determination to succeed are musts.

The content of the role revolves around gathering market data and introducing our technology to prospective clients. Primary duties include discovery, development, tracking, and pursuit leads. These leads are generated from cold calling, marketing campaigns, web site responses and industry events. All lead generation activities are recorded, tracked and measured using Salesforce.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage lead generation and nurturing programs. SDRs will be responsible for objectives, targets, tactics, metrics, and processes to drive customer and data acquisition
  • Assess prospect needs from both a business and technical perspective
  • Identify and qualify new account opportunities through professional, dedicated prospecting and through tradeshows and regional networking events
  • Contact prospective customers by phone and email to generate and qualify interest measured by highly qualified leads handed off to the closing team of Sales Directors
  • Work with in-house marketing team to create marketing material and brand messaging
  • Meet and exceed goals related to business opportunity identification and qualification
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales quotas
  • Utilize internal customer relationship management (CRM), Salesforce, to track all sales activities
  • Expand the Company’s knowledge of the industries we serve and how our solution can improve operations
  • Undertake constant education on PostUp, continually refining our statement of value proposition
  • Participate in internal training sessions and extended education on opportunity identification, messaging, CRM usage and other internal tools

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the SaaS or related industry
  • Understanding of concepts behind the development and execution of lead generation programs
  • Experience using Salesforce 
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and telephone sales presentation skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
